Why don't telcos, radio stations and music companies get together to sell their music?

1. Have a SMS/Text service where you can find out the song being played over the radio instantly.

Just text in your request and the station will text you back the name of the song being played.

2. Allow the option to purchase the song either as a ringtone (phone) or as a complete MP3 (internet).

If it's purchased as a ringtone, the song downloads into the phone immediately. If it's purchased as an MP3, the system opens an online account (under your mobile number), forwards the song to the account and sends you a text with the access password.

3. Billing is done by billing the mobile phone number.

Great for those times when you're just listening to the radio want would love to have a copy of the song being played. Would it really be that hard to do it?

The Fuqua School of Business

Round 1 deadline - 1 November 2006

Round 2 deadline - 8 January 2007

I think I will go for Round 2, as I have yet to complete my GMAT and only see myself taking it in November. But I will start working on the essays.

Kellogg

1st deadline is Oct. 20, 2006

2nd deadline is Jan. 5, 2007

I doubt that I would be able to complete everything in time for the first deadline. So I shall aim for the second deadline despite the reports saying that the first round is the ideal round to apply in.

If I rushed, I could probably catch the first round, but at the risk that it would be a weak application. As it is, with my poor academics and lack of a stellar career, my application is already weak enough. Not to mention that I have yet to take the GMAT - which I will be aiming for in November.

Measure twice, cut once. I would rather take my time and hand in a strong application vs. a weak application.

On the bright side, I have come up with my personal brand that I will use to sell myself in my applications. I hope though, that my approach works....

Dear Mr Jack

Dear Mr Jack

I guess you know that you've missed your wife's birthday. She was waiting for you at home, and thought that you had gone to prepare a surprise party for her.

Your son is asking why won't you go home?

I grieve for you and your family Mr Jack. Your family will never see you again.

Mr Jack, the police will probably never find the person who did this. You know that justice will probably never be done. I curse the person who did this to you. No matter where you are, Mr Jack, I hope you avenge your death.

Dear Mr Jack

I may forget about you, but your family will never forget about you, nor will the Internet.

Rest in peace.

Strange, you read about death in the newspaper everyday but do not give it a second thought. However, it hits you harder when you can connect yourself with the victim, directly or indirectly. In this case, I never knew the victim, but he is the brother of a friend's friend.
